Duct for VFW Lewisville

L&L Fabrication provided the exposed spiral duct for the VFW in Lewisville.

Typically, we would fabricate double-wall ductwork for such a project. However, for this project, we made single-wall duct then lined it with insulation that conforms to the round shape of the pipe. This eliminates having to make an inner piece of duct. 

There are two benefits to this type of duct. First, it really keeps the weight down and doesn’t look any different from the outside. Second, it has great sound-dampening properties so it keeps people from hearing the A/C kick on as well as the air moving.
